End-to-End Design Impact at a Startup

Overview

During my time at Shapr3D, I worked as a Graphic Designer in a fast-paced startup environment, contributing across the entire design lifecycle — from early concepts to final production. My role went far beyond execution; I actively shaped visual direction, translated complex product ideas into clear visuals, and supported marketing, growth, and events with cohesive design systems.This case study outlines the scope, process, and impact of my work, highlighting how I supported the company’s brand, marketing efforts, and product storytelling across multiple platforms and markets.

My Role & Responsibilities

Role: Graphic Designer (with UX/UI & Brand responsibilities)

I was responsible for:

  • Visual concept development and ideation

  • Sketching and CAD-based visual exploration

  • Modeling, video creation and editing

  • 3D modeling and using Shapr3D visualization tool

  • Creating key visuals for campaigns and product communication

  • Designing landing pages and marketing assets

  • Producing assets for digital, print, events, and affiliate marketing

I collaborated closely with marketing, product, and leadership teams to ensure visual consistency and strategic alignment across all touchpoints.

Design process

Concept & Ideation

Every project started with understanding the goal — whether it was product education, brand awareness, or event promotion. I translated abstract ideas into visual concepts through:

- Rough sketches and mood boards
- Visual storytelling explorations
- Early CAD and layout experiments

This phase helped align stakeholders early and ensured the visuals supported both marketing and product narratives.

A key part of my role was creating product-accurate visuals that reflected Shapr3D’s CAD-first approach. I worked extensively with:

- Hand sketches to communicate ideas quickly
- CAD modeling for technical accuracy
- 3D modeling and visualizationfor polished visuals

These assets were used across website visuals, social media campaigns, email marketing, product storytelling, event and presentation materials.

Key Visual Creation

I designed key visuals that served as the backbone of campaigns and content. These visuals were adapted across multiple formats and platforms as well.

The challenge was maintaining consistency while ensuring flexibility for different devices, channels, and markets.

Affiliate Marketing Assets

I created tailored affiliate marketing materials for high-profile partners, including: Apple, Wacom, Microsoft, Develop3D, Tech Soft 3D, Chinese market partners.

Each set of materials was customized to align with partner brand guidelines while maintaining Shapr3D’s visual identity.

Event Design: Shapr3D Showroom

I designed all marketing materials for both the first and second Shapr3D Showroom events, including:
- Event branding and keyvisuals
- Digital and print assets
- On-site graphics and signage
- Promotional materials for pre- and post-event communications

These events were major brand moments, requiring a strong, cohesive visual presence that communicated innovation, precision, and creativity.

Impact & Value

Across UX/UI, brand design and graphic design, my work strenghtened brand consistency,i mproved usability and clarity of digital experiences. Helped translate complex technology into accessible visuals. My work supported growth, events, and partnerships, Enabled fast execution in a startup environment.
